Art Therapy pulled me out of a dark place you may find yourself in. Profiles In Paint is solely therapeutic selfishness, so if and when you need it, I hope this helps open the doors and free the Gremlins.

I am not an artist. I have never taken any art classes I do not claim to be proficient at anything related to art. I am a doodler that finds peace on canvas. Until I was diagnosed with cancer, I had never put paint on canvas. I had found pleasure in rattle can art, painting rifles and gun parts with spray paint for my friends, but I never dreamed of sitting down and painting. My work is .....well, weird as hell, but it gives me peace, and as I said, I see things as I am painting with or without the tequila.
I dabble in oil and canvas, wood work, gun art and nutcracker insanity.
The Post Cancer canvas painting.....well, that is just some weird shit. However, if you ever find yourself in a dark place or have someone drop the "C" word on you, it may help to find something like this painting to unlock the doors and let the demons out.

RUSTISM​
I never have an idea what I am going to paint, it just happens, I see things (OK, the tequila may be the blame or maybe I am just freaking crazy) but with each project I do, something appears to me on the canvas while I am painting and I expose it (at least what it means to me) What I see in my doodles, may not be anything you can see or imagine, but to me, it is there (trust me, the tequila tells me so)​

I am not a carpenter or craftsman, and I don't even know which end of a hammer to use, but I have started building and designing my own frames, carving art from beautiful wood and designing and making Viking Axes and hatchets. As you can imagine they are less than perfect, like me, but they are a continuation of my doodles.

I have heard of the different styles of the great artists, Surrealism, Impressionist, Pop, Modern, Abstract, Cubism, yada yada.....I don't have a clue, so my style is: RUSTISM
